Mental Health - Let’s not ignore

Too much to do and too little time, but I couldn't refrain from saying this, since it is Mental Health Awareness week - There is nothing, absolutely nothing more important in this world than your mental health. If someone tells you otherwise, feel free to walk away.
.

Because your capability to love your partner, to take care of your parents, to look out for your friend, to be there for your siblings - all of this and much more, is dependent on your mental health. If you are not in a good space of mind yourself, you cannot do anything which can make the lives of other people around you, any better. And by chance if you do, you will not be able to fully feel the emotion - Now that’s a zombie, not a human. It is okay if you’re the person who doesn’t want to maximize your life for yourself, and you’re the one who believes in living for your loved ones (that isn’t the way I do life, but even if you are one), it is great - But that doesn’t mean your health comes secondary - So, if you’re not fine, say it. If you need help, seek it. Because you’re not only screwing up your life, but also those of the 'loved' ones around you :) Do not ignore your emotions.
.

PS: I have been there, gone down a spiral, screwed myself, my parents and my friends and got back on track. All through the while not realizing that I was mentally unwell. I was lucky that I had my mother who realized it before me, and the stars which worked in my favor and made me take the right decisions. So I guess I may know a bit of what I'm saying.
.

Let us all tell ourselves today that we shall never, ever take / treat our mental health or that of others trivially! Let us not ignore. And let us not prescribe medication to those who we think need help - You giving your mentally ill friend a solution for his/her sickness, is equivalent to you walking into a cardio surgery with a scalpel, and having no clue as to what you’re going to do (Yeah, that’s the analogy *read it somewhere*). Help them get help, stick with them through the phase, hold their hand and say it is going to be fine, but don’t be stupid and make their lives more worse than what it is, by being the 'know-it-all’.
.

Cheers to a healthier world. If not for peaceful living, doesn't the world need more logical reasoning? Even the insanely intelligent people lack it, forget about the ones going through a tough phase!

You . Are . Important

Therapy . Is . Not . A . Bad . Word

Mentally . Ill . Does . Not . Mean . Depression
